ABS is a safety feature, PDK is a convenience feature. Very different.

I've got a big yellow button in front of my right hand; ABS stays off.

We've discussed using Bosch ABS in the "big" build next year, but I've decided against it. Pure car/driver, I want no assistance.

I can't believe how short sighted and backwards thinking people are. Can't you see the possibilities? Porsche drivers will finally be able to compete with those guys in the F-cars...

Porsche's four year GT3 plan:
2015 - enhance ABS to Brake Automatically
2016 - enhance drive by wire (throttle) to power automatically
2017 - enhance electric steering and stability control to steer vehicle automatically
2018 - eliminate driver seat

When I brought my 31K mile 2003 Ferrari 575 in for service at the dealer in Palm Beach they brought several of the mechanics out to gawk at it. Apparently they had not seen a Ferrari with that many miles before. Sadly, this is not a joke.

I bought a 550 Maranello, model year 2000, new in July 2000. Sold it in 2007 with 37,000 miles on it. This included one cross-country triip and multiple track outings

True story. We lived next door to this eccentric guy. One time (once!) some kids in the middle of the night drove from our driveway, across the property line, and across his lawn. He lived on the corner. Barely did anything to the lawn. The very next day he was out there installing (along the property line) a welded 4 inch steel pipe fence with the posts set in concrete. He probably has surveillance cameras and lasers now.

Always did like that about you!

I'm up to 33.5K now and drove it from TX when I moved to south Florida. During the regional FCA event in Austin in 2011 I did the track day event at Harris Hill and then won my class in the concours event the next day, having merely wiped the car down with a towel. The judges seemed to like the fact that my helmet was perched on the rear luggage shelf.

I remember when I first met you I thought what kind of nut job is out tracking a Maranello. Then I became that nut job.

Nice to be in the company of some other Ferrari/Porsche owners.
