VR and I are good, but not THAT good!
I'd want him to go back to Autocross and start over again...

yes, he was in my run group.
I saw many a terrifying thing from him. that video certainly explains a lot.
hopefully the GT2 doesn't live up to its nickname with him.
(and amazingly he wasn't the worst driver I saw in my group...that belongs to a CTS-V driver who treated the track as a giant drifting course)

The amazing part is that he HAD a driving coach for the weekend!. He has a hard time listening to advise. Must be his ADD or something. At one point he grabbed the A-pillar with the left hand, and simultaneously braced himself against the roof with his right hand. We jokingly said he was "praising baby Jesus" for taking him through that corner!

Three Wheelin'
Obviously don't know he circumstances... but an interesting video nonetheless. Quite a few of these more modern cars can save you... until they don't.
What I have seen since I started back in 1987 at Lime Rock in my 944 (with PCA) is that knowledge of what, when, where, how and why has been diluted. I think by the internet. And video games. There are now millions of "experts." And there is a lot of video for folks to watch with or without friends whom may or may not have a clue.
I remember one "expert adviser" on the PP forums telling a newbie that apexes get later and later as you go faster.
I watched "Going Faster!" 3-4x before I ever did any type of performance driving. And that first event was LRP. When I engaged with my instructors, I was focused on the what, when, where, how and why. As starting points, I still recommend that video and the book Secrets of Solo Racing, written by a friend.
I hope that folks like the person shown in the video get directed to people that can really help them learn to do things the right way. Of course, the driver may turn out to be like the character in my friend and former student's famous internet cartoon. Let us hope not.
