Groups 1 and 2 are filled with waiting lists. Still room in the upper run groups.
Edit: Group 3 is now full. Still room for a few group 4 students as well as pre-approved instructors.

Looks like we will have below freezing temperatures both Friday and Saturday night. Please remember that many R-compound tires do not like to get that cold, so plan accordingly. I've also been told that some fire bottles like to freeze and crack, but I cannot find any data on their freezing temperature.

I'm leaving my Hankooks at home, NT01s state that below 15oF is a problem, see http://www.nittotire.com/content/pdf...itionTires.pdf
I have some new Hoosier A6's ready to go, and thoght they would be great in the mid 40's high temps for the day, but I am worried about the freeze cracking issue.
Now I'm thinking of leaving my A6's home, and running on Dunlop Z1 street tires, but they generally like ambient temps above 70 F.
The only other choice I have is some POS Continental SportContact 2's that came with the car from the previous owner. If I had known it was going to be this cold, I might have replaced the Conti's with some Goodrich Comp 2's that seem to work good in cold.
Heck, we might need SNOW TIRES.

I'm wondering what to do about tires for this event also.

Excellent weekend, hope everyone had fun. Temperatures were cold, but the track had quite a bit of grip, turns out that they "ground" the entire track a few weeks ago.

I'm guessing that if we have good weather that we will see new track records in both Grand-Am and Indy this year.
