The 2013 rules for the 944 Cup are posted:
http://www.44cup.com/official/944CupRules-2013.pdf
Technical compliance changes made for 2013 will be reflected by PCA in the SP2 and SP3 rules, HP limits excluded.
Significant changes include elimination of Cup class (SP2) Prep 2 classification, limitations on compression ratios for Cup class. Also, further definition has been provided for the rear wing for Super Cup (SP3). Minor minimum weight changes also made for Super Cup.

I've a question on body modificatoins:
"Front fenders......can be replaced with identical parts of size .........Fenders can be flared front and rear."
Those two seem to contradict each other. Do you just mean the lips may be rolled, or are you allowing flaring to widen the fenders (which would mean new tire sizes and all the fallout from that - new wheels, springs, sway bars, etc, etc, etc.). I know that rule was put in place last year, but I've never been clear on it.

Yeah, I know. Chance I took when I decided to go SP3 route, rather than E. Basically just let me keep the car more simple and easy to work on by eliminating a lot of crap that isn't needed. I knew the wing was in there, but otherwise, it didn't really resemble a GT class set of rules. It was more like a stripped down E-stock class. This just makes it seem more like a pseudo-GT class. LIke I said, though, chance I took when I gutted teh car.

SP3's are way better than E. Gutting the car makes a much better racer, and the more you gut the better it feels. Plus, brakes and tires last longer. Real race cars don't have carpeting.

Oh, I know. Was at 2630 empty before my wreck, and that was with a glass windshield and all sheetmetal. I had gutted a LOT. So much easier to work on. When I drove my 968 at DE's to keep seat time, it felt like a truck.

The change to the GT way was done with the idea attracting more of the GTS cars to also race in Super Cup/SP3 class and improving the field sizes. Only time will tell if it was the right direction to take the class.
