I had the same thing happen, registered and paid before several other racers right here in my camp. They were in and I was wait listed, never got clarity and had to cxl the last day. Turns out they extended the cxl date afterwards but I had already cxld so lost my place in the que.
No biggie, figure they saved me 10-15k...
Btw club Races are one of the best economic indicators I've seen. Should be a great year!

Honestly not sure. The other drivers in my camp are all in the cup cars also. Having chaired a club race and served in other roles, I know it can get hectic on many fronts.

Mike, it's not a claim, it's a fact for many if not most races. As a LSR board member, I see the numbers for our race at TWS. Virtually every year we barely break even with a substantial sponsorship from a local dealer. Last year we had 90 race cars +/-, and about as many DE cars. There were six cup cars. Six. So... we could eliminate the DE cars, and charge those six cars somewhere around $6000. Doesn't seem like a very good solution for anyone.

We're talking about Sebring, they don't need a DE group to make money at the event, they are turning racers away. If the registration page hadn't shown a waiting list about a month ago, who knows how many more racers would have registered.
