Frank:
You can't run a short r/p. Can't run Carrera rotors either on an SC unless you want to go up a class.
I've ridden in Evan's car at SP and it definitely doesn't feel like it has a short r/p. If it did there is no way he could use 2nd around turn 1 because he would run out of revs earlier than he does with 275-35-15s on the rear.

I have no dog in this fight, but I personally think the PCA stock rules are BS. Allowing exhuasts, chips, and removal of most of the interior is not really stock.

There was a rule change/class up for debate a few years ago for "showroom stock" or something like that were only brake pads, fluid, tires and safety changes were allowed (IIRC) and you could move back a class but haven't heard anything since.

Btw, I like the direction PCA racing has been headed in the last few years.
Also I plan on heading back to G stock next year (going back to small brakes etc) which will be easy since I never changed my R&P.
I do think the big loser in this was OBD2 993s in G from what I can see.

RoW '84-86 3.2 Carrera use 915/67, 69, 72 these are all geared the same
RoW & US for these years are geared differently in 2, 4 & 5

PCA doesn't claim that "Stock" class is "really stock." It's just a lot less modified than GT. Just how modified that is is up to PCA racers.
I suppose PCA could start a "Showroom Stock" class, but nobody would do it. Even the typical DE car would be ineligible for Showroom Stock.

Don't let the name of the class mislead you, Matt.
