Default Stock D & E: Anyone Run Motons?

Any one in Stock D or E running adjustable Motons? How do you like them? Are they a significant improvement over Bilsteins? Worth the $$$ ?

Only know of one, Del Auray in D. Personally I think they should be outlawed in stock class as adjustable, remote reservoir shocks were not available on our cars. What's next, coil overs?

I saw them on his car this weekend. I did not know they were legal until he assured me they were. I read the rules and they say shocks that came on the car.

I put in to make them illegal as they clearly should be and I got the "can't unring that bell" answer... in reality they can only help so much but are a clear advantage. Not worth the $$$ they cost IMO.

I question the legality because the rules say "any shock of the original design" and I would argue remote reservoir shocks are as far as you can get from the original design but I guess the scruts do not see it that way.

I am not confident enough in my ability to properly adjust them. I think it would be a wild goose chase for me.

Many people with E class 944s and 968s seem to have them. Of the few people I know with 911s that use them, I think they all have JRZs.

People have clearly gone very very fast without them. They are probably more helpful to those of us (not me) at the very top of our game.

All I can say is next rule change try again! And don't forget to add the removal of passenger seats for safety reasons...

I remember the caveat in the Rules Change thread - don't submit the same things that have been denied over and over - something to that effect. This seemed clearly aimed at the passenger seat. This is a glaring safety deficiency that they just seem to want to sweep under the rug. I know my car came from the factory with a passenger seat but, I'm pretty sure it did not have a cage.

I am in G so I am not sure if this helps you, but I run Motons. They are leaps and bounds better than stock or the PSS9's I replaced them with IMO, but it is hard to say if they are worth the expense - you have to answer that question because they are definitely $$$! They are also difficult to setup properly IMO. I have had to have help as I could not get it right, especially from track to track since there are big differences when on a really smooth track versus a bumpier one.

I run the Motons. I didn't want to, and also wanted them outlawed, but since they weren't I felt I had no choice.

I ran Bilsteins before.

Pain in the *** to adjust.

I'll probably have to spend a fortune on wheels next!!
