I was not there but watch several videos of this crash. There are no loose air hoses in the cabin that I can see. The driver of the Green car is flipping of the DeltaWing driver. The Green car turned into the DeltaWing car. You can see to Green car driver try to make a last second correction but too little too late. I seems clear that the Green car driver was focused on what was in front of him and no idea a quicker car was coming up from behind. Not sure who the driver of the Green car is but hope I never race on the same track and time as him.

But no worries, they've made some improvements and are confident this will not happen again.
They should have stuck with the big wheel in the middle.

I dunno... I'm think that's a finger...
There's nothing in the in-car and the fact that they cut the video just before the moment shown in the pic (where he's giving it) leads me to lean that way even more...

Deltawing could've given a bit more room too, it's funny how different the video from behind and in-car makes it look.

Pretty astounding to me that the Green Hornet driiver would flip the Nissan pilot the bird, considering who was clearly at fault here.

Had the Porsache driver not been way early in 10b, and thus running out of track-out approaching 11, it is likely both cars could have run side by side. But again, this was not the Nissan driver's fault.

The in-car from the GT3 cup makes the waving blue flag at the bridge even more clear.

Looks like he had his hands full at the time and was too busy to see the flag indicating a faster car was about to be along side him.

The first thing i thought when i saw the picture was "photoshop", If you look at the link given to motorsport.com it says the pics were found on facebook. I agree with the guys @ ZSA, the angle is way wrong and his arms would need to be super long to actually achieve what we are seeing.

Peter LASaffre is a tall guy, not that tall though.

Look carefully at 0:32 in the Nissan/Highcroft video at the start of the thread, when the GT3 passes behind the DeltaWing driver's hands...

Got my nomex on so I can say that I'm not convinced that things are quite as clear cut as everyone is making it out to be. The Porsche driver without question screws up on entry, ends up tracking out too far and runs out of curbing. He has no choice but to move back to the right to keep from wrecking. I don't know for a fact, but I suspect that he is not clueless about the Delta Wing coming up on him. The Delta Wing driver is overtaking the Porsche and should clearly be able to see what is happening in front of him, know that the Porsche is in trouble, and react accordingly. Instead, he takes a line that works only if the Porsche has not had problems. He leaves little to no margin for error, and is at least partially culpable in my opinion.
