Due to visibility issues with the black finish, the car will be wrapped in brighter colors for the race.

Wow, classy from the cup car.

Guess he didn't see the corner worker furiously waving the blue flag at him right before the bridge! I'm guessing (given the title of the video and the photo of the bird) that apologies were not offered after the race.

agreed blue flags waving and I'm not so sure he caught the lip of the curb or simply was going into the pits and didn't look. He deserves a 14/14

Both times the DW was taken out, it wasn't the fault of the DW driver.

We have learned from experience that painting the top of the hoop or cowl makes a huge difference but I don't think it would have been enough for this door ****.

Porsche driver LeSaffre's version of the incident:
“I had no place to go,” he said. “I was tracking out on the curb. My
steering wheel was straight, and he whacked me. There is quite a bit of
traffic and a lot of turns where you should not pass even if you're in a P1
car. It comes down to being patient. The race, especially in our class with
eight cars, is going to be a tough one.”

Based on the quote above I would say the Green car driver was lacking a little situational awareness...

I have to admit I'm impressed. They rebuilt it and it finished the race quite well. I hadn't seen it racing but a few very brief shots at Le Mans before it got wrecked. Coming down the esses I thought it looked pretty cool and faster and more "normal"than I thought it would.

From this old, broke-down, slow-pokes point of view (RA is my home track) it could have been a Mack truck next to the green P-car and the truck would have been hit. Had nothing to do with visibility. Get too far out on the outside gator in 11 and you're in for a ride. My guess is the green car knew the delta was there but his reaction/correction put him in the side of the delta. All the fault of the P-car's blown line thru 11. The "bird" was unfounded, clearly a 13/13!

The 34drovers need to go back for some schooling, between the delta wing and taking out muscle milk don't think LeSaffre should be on track.

+1, the Muscle Milk car was 40% off track and still the 34 car came over to whack it, these guys drive like there is no one else on track. Crappy driving and awareness. The quote above is ridiculous, "no where to go", ...right, he had no idea the car was there.

Not really sure who is driving this green cup car, but between the middle finger to the Delta Wing that wasn't deserved and taking out another car during the race, it's more than obvious these are a bunch of guys that can afford to run a car, but should probably start off at autocrossing. The attitude when it's their fault is really unprofessional.

Gang,

I'm not commenting on whether the Green Hornet cup was right wrong or otherwise with his ontrack actions, etc. But....i could be wrong and my eyes coudl be getting old, but go back and look at that photo.
i dont think thats his hand with the middle finger flying the bird.
his arm would have to be like kareem abdul kabar.

the "finger" is all the way on the otherside of that sequential shift lever, coming from low and he isnt leaning over. i could be wrong, but i dont see how any person has an arm long enough,w ithotu leaning over, belts undone, to reach down and then back up with a finger.

to me, looks like an airhose, and a coolsuit fan blower with that white output section, and then a hose beneath.

i could be wrong. we've all been pissed and said and done foul things...im just saying, go back and look at the picture. i think thats an air hose.
