Default Tarett Raised Shifter Platform

As seen here: http://www.tarett.com/items/996-997-...std-detail.htm

Anyone used this yet?

How did the install go? Car model? Shifter? Cables?

Thanks,
Mike

The picture you are looking at is the unit installed in my Spec Boxster. Install is a simple 4 bolt arrangement and takes half an hour at most (presuming you have no console etc.) In the Boxster (and I presume the 996) it uses stock cables and shifter.

I love it as it puts my hand literally inches from my stick.

Any issues with shifter cable length and/or difficulty of install with respect to that?

Has anyone installed this in a 996 or a GT3 more specifically?

I have the Cup shifter and Cup cables already.

Thanks,
Mike

Ok, ignoring JRG, the raised shifter platform is just some alu barrels that shim it up.
The shifter itself my mechanic fabbed (batteries not included).

The wheel is OMP and I believe so is the hub.

I am not sure if it fits, but I like this one much better:

Cables should be fine although mine does not have a hand brake so (if you do) you would have to consider weather it will still work OK. with the cables exiting the rear of the shifters few inches higher.

The console and shifter mounting are identical between a GT3 and a Boxster. I have swapped the GT3s shifter into my Boxster once so I know. Unless there is something odd about the Cup shifter and cables cannot imagine it will. Be an issue.

Go ahead and I'll protest the 2.7 liter motor you have installed (not that it did you any good).
