Love the little packet of alcohol sitting on the shifter cables - mid-race pick-me-up?

That's the one I have my eye on...

The console and shifter mounting are identical between a GT3 and a Boxster. I have swapped the GT3s shifter into my Boxster once so I know. Unless there is something odd about the Cup shifter and cables cannot imagine it will. Be an issue.
Excellent, the parking brake mechanism at the wheels were removed for floating rotors, so the Ebrake handle can go anyways.

Go ahead and I'll protest the 2.7 liter motor you have installed (not that it did you any good).
We'll meet again Jittsy! We'll meet again!

Sometimes I get nauseated so take a quick sniff of an alcohol swab. Very effective.

interesting, what leads to that? fumes in the car? nerves? motion sickness? thinking of VR in a speedo?

Hello all,

I've installed similar parts (home made though) in my 996 C2 MY98. I can confirm that the hand brake (good ole cable operated one) will interfere with the shifter cables as can be seen on the photo. I've had to raise the hand brake and it sits in an awkward position (too high).

If one can (wants to) remove the hand brake altogether, I think it's better. I left mine, because I want to use it when the car is on the trailer.

Having the shifter **** very close to the steering wheel is a real plus.

I hope it helps a little.

I'd nix the handbrake and just use blocks for the car when on the trailer.

How come they haven't posted the results from Summit on rennpoints? I keep trying to calculate what I need to stay in front of you but it doesn't tell me how badly you did in the two car race - I'm guessing you made the podium.

If they run the Boxster challenge again next year at Hallett you have got to come over. 23 Boxsters is more fun than you can imagine and Hallett is a great track. More importantly you get to run against the real talent of the class and learn your true standing. Needless to say I was humbled.
