Default Get some downforce

You will never be competitive in GTS 3 without an aero package.

Aero makes a huge difference, If that car in your avatar is the one you are running and it looks like that, it could gain an easy 2 to 3 seconds on a 2:00 track with a proper front air dam/splitter and wing.

Install an aero package, dial in the setup, establish consistent times, then test and compare tires.

Aero might be good for 1sec I can't see it being 2-3. How much time did MK gain with AERO ? Mark you there?

Aero can make a big difference, but it is very driver dependent on well you are connected to the added grip/balance. You have to get the low speed and high speed grip just right.

Sean...........I gotta agree with Bob.....aero is HUGE...unreal really......don't worry I have "some" plans in the works....which include consulting a friend with a masters is AERODYNAMICS................we have had several discussions already...... the gears are spinning......

the initial plan is this:

1: Splitter
2: hood vent
3: canards
4: belly pans
5: Diffuser
6: rear wing (good aero looks very nice, but pricey)

Couldn't see any mention of options of compound for these Pirellis. Is there only one?

My comments are born of real world improvements of GTS 1/2/3 racers (including me) at the same track (Mid Ohio) with same car before and after aero. I was involved because I supplied the splitter packages. The gains were as much as 2-3 seconds.

Look at the photos of the national championships and talk to some of the people that actually win the championships. Ask Scott Good, 2 time national champion and owner of GoodAero.

At a two minute track, you will gain as much as 3 seconds and maybe more.

Initially skip the fancy stuff, just do a fascia extension and splitter(I can show you how) and spend some money on a decent wing that is level with your roof line. It's not that hard. Don't get fancy until you do the basics.

The pirellis come in two compounds DM (medium) and DH (hard)....I run only DH since they don't make any DM in my size...

GoodAero is on my list when the budget comes through to start working on aero!!!! I already have a splitter I am building this week.....plan on testing it next Friday...

Aero makes Hugo difference but so splitter and wing together.

But you better have enough horsepower otherwise aero will slow you down....

Yep this is a trade off. I would not install the splitter without a rear wing. Increasing oversteer in high speeds turns can be bit of a problem. The car must be tunable on it's balance.
