Default Do Hans and Hybrid have same mounting points?

I have a Hans device now but it is not comfortable with my seats so I'm considering switching to the Hybrid Pro Rage sold by Simpson.

I'm wondering if anybody knows if both systems attach at the same points on the helmet.

My helmet has been drilled for the Hans mounting points. I'm hoping that I can use the same holes for the Hybrid mounts.

Thanks

You should be able to use the same mounts, but call Simpson and check.

I can tell you that the hybrid fits perfectly with my Arai which has factory M6 inserts. Based on that I think that both systems attach at the same point.
Call Marissa Johnson of Simpson. (800) 473-7077 ext 211. She has answered many questions for me re: the hybrid.

They definitely do.

What size would you need? I know a guy who has one for sale unused. He received one for winning a championship and already had one. Otherwise I have a few on the shelf right now.

Wouldn't it be nice if they both used the same anchor type as well? That way your could put on a Hybrid or R3 to instruct with when faced with three-poins, and a HANS for harnesses.

That would be awesome but not sure that will happen even with HANS and Hybrid being owned by Simpson now.

Maybe the dealer channel can provide Simpson with some guidance. Seems like it would be simple to use the HANS connectors on the Hybrid.

I personally would love to see the HANS anchors on the hybrid as I like that anchor the best. I will definitely be passing it on as it was one of the first things I thought of when I saw the merger.

http://simpsonraceproducts.com/head-neck/

If your helmet is currently fitted for a HANS Device you can easily upgrade to a Simpson Head and Neck Restraint/Simpson hardware corresponds to the same location.

Joe,
I likely need a large. I'll sell my Hans and get back to you. Thanks for the input.
