Slightly small for me (5'8" 185#s, 34" waist + belly!, 30 inseam). I wear a 42 business suit.

How about Sparco vs. Alpinestars on breathability?

Correct, I'm 5"8" 185lbs and it is too tight all over.

I just upgraded to a Sparco Superleggera from an X-Light and the Superleggera is lighter and much more breathable in comparison (Sparco claims 50% better breathability). I'm extremely happy with it so far. I can't recommend the Ergo version--everyone I've talked to says it's too hard to get in and out of and I experienced the same problem when trying it on.

Juan:
You should check out the Sparco Superleggera and the X Light Evo 4. The Superleggera is a little lighter, but personally I like the look of the Evo 4 better. We have plenty in stock. A size 56 in Sparco will probably do the trick based on your measurements listed above. If you need more information, PM or email me at your convenience.

Kind regards,

56 in Alpinestars as we are about the same size. The sleeves will be a bit long but I personally like that.

Alpinestars vs. Sparco.

6 in one half dozen in the other.

I like the GP Tech I have right now. The Sparco's are pretty sweet as well.

How would I go right now? I'd look at the Sparco suits. They seem just a bit lighter on the rack. As for breathability? They are using pretty similar stuff so they are about equal. The reason you see a LOT more Sparco light suits out there is because so many places bought so many and there were hundreds on closeouts.

I wouldn't rule out the OMP suits. I haven't played with the new ones but a couple years ago they were my favorites.

Juan, if you are interested in Sparco, OG has been the largest North American importer for Sparco for nearly two decades. Call Mark.

Juan, you may want to ask him to send a 54 to try also - should you go this route.
