Default track insurance for DE?

Any suggestions? Good experience or bad with a particular company?

I had tried that but it was giving me pretty unrelated posts when using "track insurance" without quotes. I just noticed the search was set to last posting date and not relevancy. Much better results this time.

I've used Lockton for the one DE I have done so far, and will be using them again next week. So far, so good, but I haven't wrecked yet, either. Fingers crossed.

They will cover single events and also offer multi-event discounts.

you do not need insurance for your first track event, you will have instructor in the car and everything will be fine. you`ll see.
i`ll be there too, car 338.

I'm sure it will. I don't expect they will allow me to drive beyond my ability. I just don't want to be "that guy" everyone is talking about later in the day after I wreck my car because someone dumped oil on the track or blew a brake line etc and I went into a wall.

relax, everything will be just fine. you`ll see.
worry about your own comfort - bring a lawn chair, a gallon of water, spare shirt, spare socks, it will be hot day most likely with possibility of rain in the morning, you`ll want to be dry and relaxed.

I second Steve Katz. The plan covers by the weekend and covers instructor and a co driver.

These are the two to check out. I use Lockton but have heard nothing but good things about both, including claims.

track day insurance is typically expensive with high deductible.....but destroying a nice P car is never cheap either....

In the 6 years I have been going to track days and racing I have seen LOTS of nice cars destroyed....a few 997 GT3's, Cayman S and new M3.......oddly enough never a C6 Z06 or Viper....but rarely a full built out race car (spec miatas not included)

The good news is not one of them was in the novice group with an instructor...they ALL were either advanced drivers and one was intermediate (but incredibly stupid)....

I have heard of ONE incident where a new driver in novice group rolled his car with an instructor...but that was only due to the heavy rain the day before.....on a dry day he would have safely spun
