happy to see the car will finally be making it back to the track....even happier that it won't be in GT3 any longer!

This thing is a beast

Will be great to be back in the car! It will likely run GT2 most of the time, but I think I'll run some GT3 races also. The good competition is there and also a higher car count. Kind of shame to run the motor restricted but I can cut the RPMs a bit and maybe extend the life.

Eric, I see in one of your pics you cut some screened vents in your front fender liners. I removed the plastic covers behind the radiators and one of the fans. Seems like these vents should get more air through the radiators

Yep, that was the plan. Increase the size of the exit vents so more air could flow through them. I removed both radiator fans, and of course the a/c condensers. Also could aid in brake cooling.

photo is not of my car, but another done in the same way...

Eric, I've been looking for fasteners like the ones in the picture securing the mesh. What are they called? Thx.

Thanks, sort of embarrassed. I was imagining something much different (2 pieces threaded, etc). Pop rivets I got.

I think more throttle in the lower gear and higher RPMs helped keep more weight on the rear. More throttle in the higher gear might be doable with more commitment but I was done experimenting after the first ride!
ha ha ha..... yes, I can see why that would spook you..... that's a tough turn, requiring a really good set up and a lot of trust. set up before is key. when you get that turn right, it feels better than any other!

Eric,

Im also planning on removing both rad fans on my 2004 boxster s

Do you need to do something else?
Would you recommend putting csf rads if running with no fans?
Change All 3 or only center?

Also, what do you recommend more regarding trans cooler?

Setrab cooler in front bumper or setrab cooler with fanpack under engine bay?

Thx for the help
