Shipping a trailer
#2
Hurricane trailers in GA quoted me $1/mile for around 1000mi ship to CT.
Featherlite quoted me $1.50/mi., same distance but near St. Louis to CT.
I went and picked it up in St Louis.
Niot quite sure how either of them planned to do it, just got the quotes.

The guys that haul tag trailers have special trailers built so they can haul multiple at once. Most are located in Indiana. Noticing that your in MT, everyone elses freight rates don't count for you. MT is one of the hardest freight lines to work with. I've been working on getting things into MT for over a year and it's not easy/cheap.

U-Ship will be a good start. You'll probably get proposals that offer to use your trailer to transport a vehicle/motorcycle as part of the deal...as long as they are insured and take pictures of the trailer before they use it, this is usually a good alternative, as you're getting a significant discount since the guy towing is making money towing your trailer.
