Buy her a new helmet.. Yes - Get her a full face helmet..

Tell her she is beautiful and you want to keep her that way.. Besides you don't have a choice

In an enclosed car with mesh window net had the visor open on cool down. At about 60 car in front tossed a hunk of rubber that bounced along the ground. Hit the outside mirror, hit me on the cheek below the eye. Looked like someone shot me with a pellet gun & it stung. DE or CR, there's a lot of junk rubber out there. Learned my lesson.

I got hit with enough rubber at the worker stations that I started wearing sunglasses just for safety.

Mike - Full face required by NJ Code. Link at NJMP webiste but heres the language:

§ 13:62-3.6 Helmets and eye protection
(a) All drivers shall wear a properly secured, full face
helmet, with face shield, which meets or exceeds Snell
Memorial Foundation Testing Standards M or SA, incorporated
by reference herein, as may be amended and supplemented,
which has not reached the expiration date established by the
Snell Memorial Foundation at the time of the event. The
standards are available from the Snell Memorial Foundation,
3628 Madison Avenue, Suite 11, North Highlands, CA 95660.
A Nomex, or similar fire-resistant head sock is recommended to
be worn in conjunction with the use of the full face helmet with
shield. The use of open face helmets and goggles shall be
prohibited.

They have been letting this rule slide the last several seasons. While a full face helmet is always the best option... A open face helmet is better then nothing at all.
