This 1998 Porsche Boxster was the original Flat 6 Innovations test vehicle. This Boxster had the first IMS Retrofit bearing ever installed into it (not the engine in the car now) and was the platform that we used to develop many of our procedures and components. Today we have created a turnkey Spec Boxster Race Car from this Boxster and it's ready for service this race season! We can even include a spare transaxle (brand new!) and 3 sets of spare wheels (at added cost)!
Equipped with a fresh Flat 6 Innovations "Spec Boxster Engine" that has only seen dyno and track testing. (18K+ value alone!)
-Accusump system to combat oil starvation W/ electronic valve
-LN Engineering IMS Retrofit bearing
-Fresh spec Boxster tires (square set up with test laps only)
-Recaro Seat
-Schroth Harness
-Aasco lightweight flywheel and race clutch
-8 point 1 1/2" x .120" roll cage.
-Custom door bars to allow the power windows to be reinstalled.
-Rear strut towers boxed for roll bar mount.
-Two front cage points at the top of the front bulk head under windshield to increase chassis stiffness.
-Momo MOD 78 steering wheel
-E.S.S 2.3L 3 nozzle fire system. Mounted in the front trunk for better weight distribution.
-Bilstein PSS9 Spec Boxster Struts with Spec Boxster Swift springs
-GT3 control arms front and rear
-Tarett Engineering Front sway bar with adjustable drop links.
-Tarett Engineering Rear sway bar with adjustable drop links.
-Tarett Engineering rear toe control arms.

Very awesome. Love Artic silver for the boxsters.
I can for sure attest to Flat 6's expertise in the boxster motor world. They built us our Grand Am 2.7l motors for Grand Am after our initial motor went kaboom at Homestead. Our one 2.7 Flat 6 motor lasted the balance of the season, about 70 hours of hard testing and racing, with almost no loss in power. Jake also blueprinted our 3.2l motor which went on to take 3 track records and 5 wins in 7 races i believe.
Staying within the confines of the rules, mothing could be more important than a strong power plant in these lower HP cars and this looks like a great one.
When i buy a race car, i start with the motor and transmission. all the go-fast parts mean nothing if the motor cant go fast.
Good luck!

Thanks, Steve... You have also been great to work with and it was fun trying to squeeze all the power we could out of those Grand Am engines and still confirm to the rules.. The fact that you NEVER broke one I our engines while the other guys were wasting engines left and right was a major accomplishment for my program. Reliability is everything in endurance sports car racing.

Yes it is. We had secured a buyer for it, but the person had a huge issue with Tornado damage at his home and decided aginst the purchase to prioritize. I haven't had time to update the ads and etc, so if you are interested, call me at 706.892.8192
