Default Turns out the "IceMan" has a sense of humor...

Hilarious...

Kimi Raikkonen showed that beneath that icy facade is a sense of humour to rival most as he gifted the media ice-creams at Sepang.

The late time he raced at the Sepang circuit, Raikkonen was slated by many while earning a chuckle from others as, with the race suspended due to the heavy downpour, he headed into his Ferrari garage for a Coke and a chocolate ice-cream.

That proved to be the Finn's final season with Ferrari as his commitment to the team and the sport was called into question.

Three years later - and back in F1 - there were again ice-creams to be had in Malaysia although this time they were for the press.

With more rain and another suspended race on the horizon, the Lotus team handed out ice-creams to the media on behalf of their Finnish driver ahead of Sunday's grand prix.

The treat came with a note saying "please enjoy this ice-cream" and was insurmountable proof that Raikkonen does have a sense of humour.

Always had. Just usually very understated.
He's the F1 anti-hero who appears to be be largely immune to the FIA and media BS.
Just there to race- for himself- if no one else. Its like he's cut from a Ayn Rand novel.
I really dig that about him.

Probably the more low key or boring you look to the media, the more they leave you alone. They never know when he might tell them "I was taking a sh*t".

Yep, that's why we love him...

Maybe next race he'll send them all a roll of toilet paper? LOL

Oh man...this brings back China memories. We had magnum ice cream bars with our lunch every humid summer day in Shanghai.

+1 on all accounts.

Always had and still has humor, was and is motivated.

This ice cream "incident" at the Ferrari garage is a perfect example how media, and people who don't know, interpret things.
They saw him eating ice cream during the time the race was stopped so they assumed he didn't care, nor wanted to race again if the race was to be resumed.
The fact that his car had a problem and the team decided to park it, never seemed to affect those opinions once they were made.

Whatever, I'm glad the least, and maybe the only, "anti-corporate/puppet/bull****" driver in F1 is back.

One more thing, he always was, and still is, very fast.

I saw that Sunday on Speed. Kimi is definately the epitomy of cool. He drives the same way. BTW, I heard that "Go Daddy" had tried several times to switch to NASCAR and offered him big money but he repeatedly declined. Definately a cool dude

In my business we call this home-country bias

BTW, I agree (see post #92 in Malaysia F1 thread).

Never denied the bias, never won't but he really has a lot of qualities that are anti-F1/corporate which I like a lot, maybe those qualities are just from being a Finn and that's why Inlike but I also like Vettel a lot and a lot of it is because he ha some similar qualities.

Yeah, I saw your other post, and U agree...
