Randy is a heck of a driver. He's crazy quick through the section before the back straight. Too bad it was filmed with a potato.

Talk about squeezing every ounce of potential out of a car.

And being super careful, no dive bombs or overly difficult passes. He doesn't count on luck or other people avoiding him, that's why he wins a a lot of championships. My kind of driver!

I think VR would say he is giving up a bit of time in 1 by not coming close to the wall soon enough, right Dave? :-)) Well ok it is Randy P, but we are still allowed to critique right? After all even Newton didn't quite get it all figured out and it took Einstein to fine tune his theory, and even Einstein's work falls apart at the quantum level. :-)

Actually, he does, if you watch carefully. He is carrying huge entry speed there, but rotates the car gently & early. Also remember he is in a client's car in a PCA race. I have watched some of his in car video from pro races, and believe me, he brings the car way in..

Hey SP996 #204...WTF is with the point-by at around 15:00? Ain't no point by's in competitive racin' !!!

He broke CRAZY late into T1... maybe not carrying cup car speed so he can brake later than us, but still pretty amazing.

Not sure about that. I think he was taking it easy given thats not his car, and just being very gentle and efficient through traffic.
That car should be a lot faster than the fastest lap he posted.

...and finally Im able to see some video of me in the Enduro given that I forgot to put the video card on my run from last row to P2 overall

Does anyone know the weight and hp of the car Randy is driving? Just curious, he's running 2:23's or thereabouts.

2nd fastest time in GTB1 all weekend. Only Karl P was faster. Not bad for jumping into someone elses car he is unfamiliar with and is being careful .

Nice guy that Randy. He co-drove Lawson Wilder's D Stock 911 in the Black enduro. He was looking at the car and talking to Lawson who happened to be paddocked next to me so I walk up with my hand out:

"Randy! Nice to meet you. You driving this 911 in the Enduro?"

Randy, "I am"

Me with a serious face and one eyebrow raised, "OK, just watch your mirrors out there."

He threw his head back with laughter. Not sure why

In watching the video it looks like he took some of your driving tips.
