I wonder if that has anything to do with the fighting between ALMS/ACO w/ regards to the GTC field.....

Can't imagine they'd throw out the WEC event status to keep GTC cars....but who knows.

It could be better without the Europeans, better competition among year-round teams without the "ringers" from Europe, and maybe more slots available for pro/am cars and GTC cars.

Better for those on the pit wall and in the cockpit. But certainly not better for those who are paying for tickets and watching it on TV.

I would much rather see Petit (even as a 6 hour event) over the 6 hours of Bahrain. The FIA just revoked their Grand Prix because of political unrest...among other things. I don't think Bahrain is a wise decision.

According to Sir Jackie Stewart and Bernie Ecclestone F1 will be back in Bahrain next year. I don't like them going there after everything that's happened and keeps happening in that country but at the end it's strictly about $$$.
