LeMans racer Scott Tucker's questionable path to success

Fascinating. If all true, giving pay-day lenders a black eye is a major achievement.
But if we rid motorsports of everyone with a dubious past we'd have a lot of extra room in the paddock.
If we also culled the field for dubious futures, we'd barely fill the podium.

So flipping what. Tucker is not even that good on the track. He just uses his money to race. Not there is something wrong with blowing your fortune on racing, but so what.

He's no slouch. Doesn't sound like someone I'd want to do business with but who cares when it comes to his driving. Four years from nothing to Le Mans (with any amount of money) is insane!
From the WSJ article:
"Until four years ago, the wealthy private investor from Leawood, Kan., had never stepped on a racetrack or sat behind the wheel of a racing car. "He has to be a natural or he couldn't do that," said Richard Attwood, a Le Mans champion in 1970 who still competes in vintage races. "He [must have] a balance that is inherent in his body."
Leo Hindery, a media company CEO and entrepreneur who has raced at Le Mans, called Mr. Tucker's results "incredible."
"The R10 is like a jet plane," Mr. Hindery added. "Anybody who can get an R10 around that track in 3 minutes and 30 seconds deserves a lot of accolades. It's a gift."'

Hummm...the older I get the more I realize that maybe I need to do some illegal stuff to get ahead financially in life.
Problem is I sell muscial instruments...that's all I've ever done...play music and sell instruments....nothing illegal can go one with that! LOL...I need to get into selling other products or some other line of work I guess.

LOL!
Men, we live in a country where perhaps 50% of the economy is dedicated to relieving honest people of their earned income through lawful, yet dishonest means.
EVERY action taken by "our" federal government (and most state government action) is expressly and only designed for this purpose.
Tucker is probably scum but to single him out when our half our economy is built upon fraud seems a little melodramatic.
