RIP Dan, and condolences to his family and everyone in the infield today.
INDY cars and ovals don't mix.
3 wide at 220, with 34 cars in the line up, (some of which being seriously part time) is bad management.
During the red flag there were many interviews that had an underlying tone to them. Several drivers commented on the field.

Terrible loss, just terrible. He was a great competitor and, if there is any solace, he died doing what he loved.

Dammit, hate these kind if news.
Dan, for me, was one of the very few drivers in Indycar who I really liked and respected.
Very good driver and a person, will be greatly missed.

So sad... My son and I really appreciated his commentary during broadcasts of the Indycar season, and were rouiting for him to join Andretti next year. My son and I watched the race today, and are still in shock. Horrible, horrible crash.

+1 Finn, Dan lives here local in St. Petersburg and was a super nice guy....he loved shoes! I was always pulling for him and Tony Kanaan.
