We estimate about $20-25/mile for gas/tires/maintenance items. This is not upgrades or amortizing some major repair, rebuild, entry fees, traveling, etc. Just the cost to run car.

Now you are depressing me. Our local race track is permanently closing in a few weeks to expand a landfill (stupid politicians) and the closest tracks are 3+ hours, 6+ hours, and 10+ hours drive away. Sure I could risk driving my car to these tracks, but if I have any sort of incident at the track where the car can not be driven home on it's own power I am screwed. So you need a trailer and a powerful enough truck to tow the trailer with your car.
1) porsche's don't break down
2) If they have an issue, no one leaves a buddy behind
3) if you KNOW you have to drive to/at and home from an event, you might just learn to drive better
I've lived trailer free for decades now but have no issues with 1-2-4-8+ hour drives. Live confidently!
As to the OP, we all know you aren't supposed to "add up" receipts... Shame on you!

Learned that quickly.......just need to get a legal seat, oh and finish my cage and get a transponder, go to the doc and have a physical, kill switch wired,.........now time to pay the entry fee
Sucks that it's so much fun! Just bought the wife a new car, hopefully that will get

My odometer does not work. So I have no idea how many "miles" I have on my race car. I do track each session on track and probably could estimate miles, but why bother.
BTW... 10k can get you a turn key 944 spec race car.
