For the Summit Point locals.........

Are there any decent restaurants in the vicinity of the track?

Paolo:
Depends on what you are looking for. I recall a good Italian place in old town Winchester, but I don't remember the name so hopefully someone will chime in with the name. If you like Mexican there is a nice little place on Rt 7 just past the Hampton Inn and I-81. I haven't tried the Fish Tacos, but I doubt they are like the ones Gary got in Watkins Glen.

I only eat Fish Tacos at the Glen now, no one else is at the level of epicurean delight...

Starbucks across from Fosters for breakfast, Fosters across from Starbucks for dinner...

Thanks for the info. Mark.....

I usually don't like to eat at italian restaurants outside of Italy....... unless I have to.......

usually I prefer to try the local cusine......... (you guys have one right?)

Mexican not really appropriate for race week-end........ catch my drift?

Sean and Gary seem to recommend Starbucks and Fosters, I know the former, the latter is at least to try......

Anything else? A steak house or seafood restaurant?

Streak, is that what you comb your hair with in the morning?

Fosters has to be weirdest place to order food. You have to write your own order and submitt to the staff.. wtf? Also its bar food, except there is no bar..

Like Mark said there are nice places in the old town. There is a pedestrian mall, cobble stone street, lined with different etnic theme restaurants. I'm sure we can find a good one.

There is a brew pub (Picadilly's ?) just before the old town. In old town, there is Brewbaker's which has okay crab cakes and typical pub food. There is Union Jack in the same area which has fish and chips.

And, there is of course http://www.hillbrookinn.com/fine-dining.html on the way to Charles Town on Summit Point road.

If you change your mind about Italian, I'd like to know what you think of the place in old town.

I usually go to the Mexican rest on rt. 7 at least once during a SPR weekend. Not great but not bad.

Really looking forward to the race. 15 in H!

Nader, Hillbrokinn seems fine, definetly worth a try.....

If majority decides on the Italian restaurant you are talking about, I will offer you my honest opinion....
