After watching your video, I see I should stay in 4th longer on the front straight. I was shifting to 5th at about 6K RPM at the crossover roads on the right. Nice driving. I thought my start was good, yours was great!

Mark - I finally got to the point that I had to goto 5th
Not sure I applied any rhyme or reason to when I shifted. I started playing with it during the enduro. I just remember the 5,4,3,2 shift in the 911 was a flippin handful so I resisted 5th gear. This car is much easier and the shift is only 5,4,3 so I'll probably start using 5th all the time.
Too bad you didn't get more time in the car due to weather. I was looking forward to running with you. There's always next season!

Red/Black Combined sprint #3 (sunday morning) - unedited
5:30 (some good action at the start, yellow 993 at the start is in-class GTS4... battle for third place in class)... almost lose it on cold tires and slick track at turn #10
8:20 - 10:00 - some aggressive defense by the #87 car (he apologized to me after the race)
11:53 - passed by yellow GT3 (k car) - spend the next 20 minutes reeling him in with a pass in the carusel on the second to last lap (29:31), only to be passed into turn #9 on the checker lap (bummer) at 31:00 .
14:50 - pass my boy nicky benz (in class GT4s car) to take third position in class (held for the rest of the race)

After seeing ninjabones video I really need to be more aggressive on my starts, well done sir!
I start from P2 and by the 1st lap I was P5 or P6 on G group , then work my way back to P3.
