Frank, the track was in terrific shape for last year's race. Take a look at the lap times recorded, which were extremely quick in most classes. The year before that was rough, but things have really improved since then.

The main paddock toilet block might now be mistaken for the Hilton head [sorry]. AC too!! What's this world coming to?

These are some of the most unfriendly registration policies I've encountered in a long time.

Except for the payment method, would agree that the cancellation policies are discouraging to early entries. As an organizer, Paypal is much easier to deal with then checks. Did know anyone used money orders any more.

Woudl liek to see PCA try some different formats for struggling events like, say make it a 2 day Saturday and Sunday event. Asking members to take an extra day off and incur related expenses for a day of practice only is not a good use of my time and money.

FWIW, you can always use your credit card when paying via Paypal. You don't need to have or use a Paypal account. On the first Paypal payment page, look for the credit card link and then enter your cc info as for any online payment.

Last years Summit race was one of the best club races I have done. Good racing in all 3 sprints, and we were all going faster than in previous races there. The racing in our group was very competitive. Got got beat by the CT boys, but it was still a blast and the Saturday BBQ was awesome as usual. I hope this year is just as fun.

Generally an organization will charge a nominal administrative charge ($25-50) if you cancel out of a race....but $250-$450 seems a bit on the unconscionable side to me.

This race has been in trouble before. I'd think the organizers would want to make it easier and less cumbersome to participate and certainly less penal if you need to cancel.

DId you seriously call it cumbersome to pay with a credit card, and to pay for an event you plan to do???

I put the request into starla to pass onto dixie bones for peach cobbler so cross your fingers.

I cant wait forthis years race, i just hope i can stay with them yanks. we lost some regulars in E but there are quite a few more coming up....WAY TOO MANY EURO SCs though....
See you guys there.

Looks like I'm coming. The CT stock D cars plan on running in E, especially if that means running with F.
