I'm in the same boat but I do keep check of my budget and sorry to say I'm already over my initial budget. Add in traqmate, new camera, substantial work on the car, refresh engine internals, tires, and other expenses. I figure if this year turns out to be too expensive I can take it easy next season (yeah right!).

You could have dumped it all into another house then lost 50% on the money and hated every moment. At least you can have fun with this bad investment.
