Your costs are uniquely high and extraordinary.

Nobody has ever spent so much on motorsport.

I believe your anecdotal account is invalid.

Your expenses cannot be used as evidence against others.

Never speak of this again.

I'm only doing DEs/open track/lapping days and when I look at my annual credit card statement it makes me want to throw up.

Aw, c'mon... them's just numbers...

I like 333's solution. Spend faster than you can tally. Problem solved.

Gary, please no more errors of this magnitude.

Great quote from a friend:

" I take my receipts , put them in a box, then treat it like it's the Arc of the Covenant chest from the Indiana Jones movie "

Mine are all in a milk create on the bottom shelf of a cabinet in the garage. I can slip things in but I can not see in nor pull things out without moving it and I'm not about to do that.

Don't worry - most of our food is coming from China these days anyway...

Now if you really want to have fun divide that by number of stints and length of stints to figure out your cost per minute on track ... that will really make you pound your head

Adding up costs can be dangerous to a marriage. Adding it up against time on track could be fatal.

Only thing I have found that is worse for time spent getting ready over time spent doing is offshore wreck diving.

14 hours driving round trip, 2 round trips out and back in the boat 20 hours. Hour or more per dive deco time all for perhaps 40 min bottom time per dive. 4 dives per weekend. Finding brass porthole, priceless.
