What camera setup do you have? Very nice front and rear.
At one point I think there were 3 994's parked in different spots but that one was particularly hairy, and as Charles stated, once they stopped waving the yellow it was craaaaazzzy.. I just used it as like tall curbing, get as close as possible without whacking it and unsettling my car..

AIM SmartyCam in front, Good ol Aiptek for the rear.

Maybe they will hire me for one of those commercials where they spin a car into a parking spot!

I think "good and lucky" fits better, but thanks Jim!

Holy Cow, Gary, not many people get away with a spin at that spot, the blue bushes are right at the edge there!

It's hard to tell from the video(s) but I actually had some room on my right. If I had been on my normal trajectory things would have turned out badly. I should thank that 944 I had passed earlier as he was heads up and saw the waving yellow (and thanks for THAT while i'm at it!) so what could have been carnage in many ways was avoided by several good people.

Thanks, VR, I knew you'd be watching!
Actually, for that second sprint my former crew bled my tires down on the pre-grid, I was running way too much. The car came alive and that led to the race of my life with those guys, glad to get fastest lap but DEVASTATED not to have any video. I won't trust that GoPro anymore....

You are very Good and Plenty lucky!

Missed you guys but I have been busy with family and playing with my new Italian toy!

Not yet. Maybe by the end of the week on the PCA website.

Incident: It seemed that one car had something break, two came together and hit the wall in Turn 1. I would also not count out some slippery conditions there. One went up the fence and came down.

Even though it was serious and disconcerting and all our thoughts are with the driver, the incident was handled professionally and quickly by all, which is very comforting. A PCA rep was asked to drive over to the incident in his racecar, who I was told is a doctor. Even if you have slight back pain, the track workers will cut the roof off your car as a precaution. Anyone with a probable back/head injury will be transported via helicopter. You want a short trip in this situation.

You don't want to go into private info, but I was told the driver, albeit going through a worrisome bit, was expected from the time of the incident on to be OK. He looked well at the meeting, which is great news.

my best lap of the weekend (qualifying on Friday) and my fastest lap in the enduro. http://www.vimeo.com/24445316 Brake pressure indicator acting weird (on/off + flickering).

Great weekend, well run event. Was having a blast in the enduro, chasing a white 911 hard, entered the bus stop, and as I jinked back to the left the right control arm broke, sending me straight ahead into the runoff area, close to the wall, but no contact. Thank my lucky stars it didn't break at the top of the esses... anyway, that's why I was parked there from five laps into the enduro. Corner worker was great, asked if I was okay with the car there, told him I was okay if he was- no point in going 2x yellow and screwing up everyone's race. Thanks to all at the region for an excellent weekend.
