pretty obvious to me. dont think you need a dyno to see the advantage in HP to weight. based on how close his gear shifts are, its not about an engine torque advantage at all . its about a HP advantage and its relation to weight.
you dont need to drive the wheels off the car when you have this kind of pwer advantage. He is still driving it well, but not puting in the effort that you are based on what the cars are both doing on the video. that vet is a monster and needs a little restriction. did you notice the pass in the beginning on the volvo, with LESS exit speed to start off a turn? he ran all the way around him. thats a sign of about 50hp different, all things being equal. when i used the 50hp shot of NOS back in our BMW porsche races in the late 90s, thats what 50hp bought you.

And keep in mind, the Porsches and Volvos get out of the hairpin much better than the Vette.
Again, Skeen drives the hell out of that car......but the Vette is such a strong car you can see why SCCA is pulling it back.
