Would love to, but that pesky family reunion on my wife's side might be a hurdle to high to overcome....

they used to run evening hours for a very reduced rate, which might work for me after baseball season is over....

I headed home Saturday morning - my car wouldn't run right when we pulled it off the trailer. Wouldn't rev over 3k w/o stumbling or rev at all with significant throttle. I got to run the enduro race that evening as I codrive with a friend. Another 944 in my group blew his engine running in the enduro too so it wasn't just me. Weird being home so early from a race weekend.

Update: I read what was given and watched a lot of video to get an idea of the track and segregate it out into pertinent sections 1-2 complex, 3, 4-6, 7-9, 10, 11. By doing this I was able to figure out the corners that required the "technical" approach and was able to get up to speed quickly.

I started out Friday running a couple of sessions in the test / tune. I will say my first several laps were not fun as I did not realize how bumpy the track was and that simply being a mere 1' over more lead to different bumps at different intervals and different car attitude. After a spin that day I was finally getting the track and running some pretty respectable times (1:54). By Saturday I was able to get the times down to 1:52. By Sunday I was at 1:51. The best laptime in my group was a high 1:49 but the rest of the group was running low 1:51 / high 1:50s. We were also much faster than the Miatas with only 3 of them able to come close to our times. I finished the weekend with two 3rd places and a 4th. I also got much faster as a driver and much more aggressive. I also have to give a big shout out to Nick from BENMS.com as he put in his spare motor "his baby" in my car as he didn't have time to rebuild mine. I couldn't have raced without doing so.

Joel - nice work! Any time you can outrun the best SM's in a 944 Spec car, you are hauling the mail! Your "all in" commitment this year is paying off.

Thanks for stepping up as the series director for this event, too!
