I will pass that along to CS as I said this is just the prelim.

This is just Tentative, the chief Steward has not put out the final. depending on who shows up will determine what run groups consist of and who goes first so don't put to much into it till we get a final version.

From 1992 to just a couple of years ago, the GT run group races at all the tracks I ran were almost always last which was really frustrating.

Now they periodically change them and put GT first.

I for one like the GT group running earlier as I ended up leaving early for years.

So in the big picture it seems appropriate.

Although keep in mind I am a GT driver :-)

Damn Norm! How many laps of the enduro did you drive last year??!! Four!!??

Alternating from year to year is the only fair way to do it. Last year, the fast group got the early enduro.

Jack, LOL I ran half the enduro.

Virtually no alternating happened from 1992 until a few years ago, GT was almost always last.

Guess I have a lil built up anguish LOL

Its all good, someone has to go last...

Looking fwd to seeing you guys there!

Stop by #17 if you guys need anything...

The track was slow. I guess because of all the recent rain.

Friday morning practices were nice and sunny. It then started raining just before the practice races.

Saturday qualifying was mostly dry... only the chicane was wet.

Sprint 1 was awesome and dry. Hupfer qualified on pole, then missed the grid, then went from last to almost first (he finished second). I bet he gained 20 positions on the first lap. He drove around me in Madness like I was out for a Sunday stroll in a street car.

In Sprint 2, the sky opened up literally as the pace car pulled into the pits. That was by far the scariest Green flag I've ever taken. Luckily there was no mayhem in Turn 1 and almost everybody came back in after 2 laps.

Today was unfortunately more rain with rescheduled morning (from afternoon) 60 min enduros...

But despite the weather, I had a great time and it was great to catch up with a lot of old friends after a long winter. Thanks to MORPCA- what a great crowd. See you again next year!

Thanks for the update, Jack.

I saw Mark do that not once, but twice, in an enduro at Road Atlanta a couple of years ago. Made his way to first, had a stop and go that put him basically last, and did it all over again. He's an incredible driver. And it's testament to Fred that he is right up there with him.

Who else did well in "E"?

Atlanta was like that twice this year, both in Sprint 2 and the Enduro. Downpour for each start. At least an inch of water standing everywhere, 4 or more in some corners and the Esses.

Default Race Update....

Great…long story short qualified 4th, Hupfer qualified 1st and Brian B was second G car…Hupfer got to grid late so started last so I started behind Brian (he had pole) and he didn’t get going at the start, turbo lag and blu by him and was first going into the first turn with GT5s on outside and Brian close behind, gt5 went into the busstop first…I lead Brian all the way around and then went too hot into 13 so I let him by in the carousal (didn't want to hold him up, lol) ran 1st in class third over all until oil smell in cockpit, then crew said they could see oil on left side so had to came in on lap 8, would have won class and finished 4th overall (Hupfer passed everybody including Brian coming from last except for the GT5S) but still great time..

Oil was from lost a bolt in the timing chain cover, fixed it but missed second sprint…no big deal….it poured on the 2nd lap and they all came in except for six guys….racing in the pouring rain.

Brian won best prepared, he ran real good…… him and I had a good time running together in the first sprint....

Glad we are all running together at WG....

Thanks again, MORPCA
