Default Suggestion for cordless impact that can remove lug nuts?

Don't need pro-shop or pit crew quality, but looking to affordably and easily get lug nuts on and off.

Yup. Car & Driver rated Bosch the highest, and it's made in the USA.

I'm happy with my Milwaukee gun. Works well and has 450 ft lbs of torque.

C&D - May 2011. page 120. It compares the 7 most common brands. It's a good analysis on the costs/specs of each impact gun.

Bosch rules. Not only their impact, but their customer service.

I have a Milwaukee 18v LiIon gun and though it says rated to ~250lbs it rapidly lost the ability to get anywhere near that... can't even remove my lugnuts when torqued to 93 ft-lbs. May have happened because my garage gets cold in the winter and my tools still live outside, but if the batteries can't handle cold it really isn't that useful to me anyway.

So, I am debating finding a new one that actually works.

I discovered that pretty much any gun rated at 300 ft lbs or less can't break free a lug nut torqued to 90 ft lbs. I tried quite a few before I just gave up. I was a whisker away from buying the Snap On 450ft lbs gun when the Milwaukee 450 ft lbs gun came out.

2 Li Ion batteries, charger and case and Tool King had a $100 offer, so it cost me $275. I recently took off and on 6 sets of wheels/tires with it and it was running strong still.

I use Dewalt DW059. I recommend it. But there are lots of choices that will fit the bill.

Got my 18V Li on sale at Lowe's a couple months ago. Don't remember the exact price but it was the best price I could find and it included a coupon for an extra battery which arrived less than a month later.

The newer version Longacre gun works well, and works better than their previous version. 300 ft/lbs of torque and 24v power.

I bought my Milwaukee here, but they claim to be the biggest retailer of Bosch reconditioned. New also. $6.99 shipping.

THANKS!!!

I just got the big Milwaukee and a free battery...great deal. I've been wanting one, despite the fact that I really like my smaller DeWalt.
