^^^is this where the firearms come in handy?..
It is a pretty dismal selection, I have all the standard fare, but even in those the sections on racecraft seem to be reduced to "look how great I was when I passed bla bla..." and no real practical tactical...
Sumflow is there any place to race on the islands? I love Hawaii but without a place to race getting a place in Maui just doesn't pencil out... Unless i stick to Heli or get a tiger and race on the water...do you have to come to the mainland to run?

Passing technique
When dicing cross-country on the interstate, sometimes my opponent would be in the left lane when we come on cars blocking the road. When I could see that there was no hope of getting the one lane’r in the right lane to open it up. I would naturally get behind my contester and try to intimidate the driver in the left lane to get on it. I am sure you have all had this happen to you.
The technique I am expressing here worked great in a Corvette, not so well in a Porsche, but nonetheless. When my opponent would yield to me I would move right up centering my car on the blocking drivers outside mirror, and flash my headlights. Flash them, or just leave them on. Cars would move over and practically salute the Vette. After this gesture I would let my pursuer take the lead again and set the pace.
My opponent is an unknown stranger, who I may have been dicing with for 500 miles.

I think I remember that the speed limit on Maui is 45mph and the cops are strict about it. Rather than reading books about race driving I advise you to read the bus schedule because I believe you will be losing your license soon.

Two lane blacktop
Today for example I was coming down the mountain, two-lane blacktop, with scattered dotted line passing areas. I worked my way up a line of cars with legal passes, and got around an old Swedish car that was previously leading the pack. Pulled way ahead through a set of switchbacks. Near the end of a long straight, I could see the car cresting the hill behind, with the line of cars still tight behind.
I came up on the next group ahead of me. Double yellow lines, cars coming in the other direction. So for me it was over. No more safe legal passes, presented themselves. But when we got to the bottom of the hill, that Volvo to my amusement pulled up right behind us with not another car in sight for a very long time behind her (if it was a her). She must have used that down hill, and decreasing speed limits to her advantage. Gaining on the cars ahead of me. If I ever see her in the Mall I will be sure to pay my respects. I could not help but smile in the rear view mirror when I saw that she caught up, and lost the pack that was on her tail.
