Momentum passing
Gary,
The Merritt Parkway was great before they paved over the concrete, got rid of the tolls, and it got so much traffic. We learned by following the fastest drivers, from the tunnel down toward the Hutchinson, and back. Not so much with the Porsche, but you had to be a better driver to pass at every opportunity, with the lightly powered X/19. She has to be in the right gear, with the right RPM, at the right spot, before you can even see, if it is safe to pass. You had to be up to speed ahead of time, because there was no more coming when you held the pedal to the floor.

I am beginning to wonder about you pops. And lives!
Isn’t anyone here a member of Porsche's 150 mph club?
You don't race 40 cars at a time, you race one car and pass, then go on to the next car. ~ Unknown
