Dave,

It would be great if you could make the Niagara event on June 22-23. It's a great region to run with and it's an open track format.

Both great courses.

I did the Glen for the first time last year. Fantastic. T2 through the bus stop is one of the great sequences in American tracks. Ranks right there with the Carrousel through the Kink to Canada at Road America, 10 thru 12 at Road Atlanta and the Corkscrew at Laguna (or whatever it's called now)

I haven't done VIR yet, but it's at the top of my race track bucket list. Seems to be one of those tracks that gets praised by everyone.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned here is that there is a great Pro Coach based at each of these tracks.

Peter Krause ("Lolaman" on RL) is at VIR. He's a wonderful communicator, and a whiz with data, who is very adaptable to how a student learns best.

Peter Argetsinger spends the summer at Watkins Glen (his boyhood home - google "Argetsinger" for a lesson in the history of American Road Racing). Peter's had a huge positive impact on my driving. I believe he is booked for the T&T day of the Glen PCA race, but will likely be around all weekend.

You can find contact info for each here, should you ever find your way to either of these tracks: http://raceruniversity.com/faculty.html

I vote for the Glen. It is a historic track. There is much more competition. The lodging choices are better. It's way too hot at VIR(been there six times in the last two years) especially for us from the frozen North.
I even have an armco friendly colored car although it has never been put to the armco test at the Glen. Well not yet anyway!

Dave, I might have a client for the June event... still waiting to finalize his objectives.

Ok, nobody has mentioned this, so I may be WAY off base.

I consider VIR a GREAT DE track, and a so-so racing track. It's just far too easy for a competitor to block someone without losing a lot of speed (most parts of track can only take 2 cars going side by side)

The Glen is a GREAT racing track, and a so-so DE track. There are tons of places to pass since the track is usually 3-4 cars wide, but there are few technical sections (unlike Mid-Ohio or VIR). I.e, there are few parts where you really need to nail the previous turn to do the following turn well.

If I had to choose between the two, I would do VIR if I was doing anything akin to a DE, and the Glen if I was doing a race.
