Default Goodyear Eagle RS DOT racing tire

Did anyone has ever tried these?

If so, how do they compare to Hossiers R6?

Tx

How come they are not very popular if they are good?

Likely because no one has taken the time and effort to develop the car to run on the Goodyears. Unless someone proves them to be faster then I don't see why anyone would spend the money to develop their car to work on them.

For a long time, when you would order them, they were always out of them....

It may be because they are only sold through race tire dealer networks and harder to get than a more readily available Hoosier, too.

Starting this year Goodyear offers a tire contingency to all NASA time trialers and racers. It requires 7 cars in class to qualify, 2 to first place and 1 each to second and third. Hoosier by comparison gives out 1 tire if there's 5 cars in class, and Yokohama 2 tires for 5 cars in class (slicks only)....

I have. I wont give an answer key but it's worth testing them against the Hoho and Hankook.

They run HUGE in both width and height. I mean huge as in the first set of 245/40/17s I bought wouldnt fit, not even close, on the car that runs the same size Hoho and Hankook regularly.

Yup, their distribution channel sucks. Same with Toyo RA1's.

There's talk in NASA that a contingency is being set up, so these may come along....
