Glen,

Car looks mantastic. I'm about to embark on a similar project with el Smurf.

Jeff - I was talking to C/C and should have a brake booster spacer made for you within a week or two

Matt:

You may want to talk to me or BobT before having any spacers made... there are some issues that you may encounter if you're doing what I think you're doing.

Glen, your 993 looks badass.

Gasser....I sold my BMW E36. It's still at Hallett but the new owner is a bit slower than I was. I now have a 911SC daily driver and a new BMW racecar project that probably won't be done by the end of the year. May still see you out there sometime.

Cool on the new race car. I was going to go to Hallett last weekend to race you but I just got back from the TWS club race and was tired and figured it was gonna rain all weekend up there anyway.

We can hook up later this year. Im guessing your gonna be much faster. I better bring my A game

Shaking my head at how nice that looks.

Is your weight box an old silverware drawer?

Lots of Porsches in GTS3 this weekend. Looking forward to watching since I will be there.

Very nice Glen. What power and what weight will run in GTS3?

Pulled 258 HP on the NASA-certified dynojet (Rossini Racing) at Summit Point last season... so that means I can run at 2838 lbs. I'll try to get on the dyno again on Saturday if possible before the race to make absolutely sure that things are kosher (and I'll adjust ballast accordingly). Although, with the calibre of cars/drivers in the race this weekend, I'm not expecting to be in contetion for a podium finish. My goal is to have a nice clearn inaugural race, stay out of trouble, and test out the whole NASA vs. PCA debate for myself.

It's really hard to keep up with the BMW's in GTS3 at least here in the Great Lakes region. Back in 06 when I ran my 993 in GTS3, if the BMW guys (three of them at that time) showed up, the best I could possibly do was 4th. I considered that a victory. Seriously, they were seconds a lap quicker.

What I noticed last year when I ran the 993 in a NASA event, the GTS2 cars with their aero packages were tough to beat. The GTS3 guys were no where to be seen after the first lap. You have much more aero (but also more drag) than me so your results may vary. You have more rubber too, but I don't know if that helps or hurts at Summit Point.

Post your results and thoughts on the competition. I'll be interested to read your take on the 993's relative competitiveness in NASA.
