It is a great video. The IP car he is driving makes a straight from the lower esses all the way to the top of the uphill esses. The distance is very similar to the length of the back straight. This is part of the reason you are seeing similar MPH but it takes some skill and track knowledge to make the car still like he did through the uphill esses. Plus the use of the curbs that makes this video and VIR epic.

PCA Club Race last year was 100 degrees last year. Not too bad. Thank goodness for the cold winter maybe this year will only be 99 degrees! June normally can be very nice just depends but man last year was rough. And we are lucky to have this track in Virginia.

You always have a spec boxster to rent! And for anyone considering Scott's boxsters, they hold up well. Great value and a fun car to drive

He's maximizing that's for sure! Car seems to be floating above the track. Awesome driving.

One of the reasons they don't pave all of the paddock is heat soak during the real hot days.

Just put a tarp down and park on that.

The worst.

And Paolo, don't even consider doing the race w/o a Kool shirt.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun! It points out that VIR is very "race-able" track. A lot of great passing opportunities born from other's mistakes..

Third to fifth in the first three corners, back through to first! We all qualified 1:59-2:02's and the top six were eight-tenths apart. With 140 bhp... Except the pole car had 300+!

A fundamental cornerstone of my business is to supply the driver with enough (and incredibly detailed) information to ensure accurate and proper placement of the car. VIR is busy enough so that is doubly important!

Not sure about heat soak ... it's hot at Sebring a large part of the year and thankfully Sebring doesn't have a talcum powder paddock.

Having said that, the paddock is the only thing I don't like about VIR.

It was a way to keep track cost down and windscreen repair cost up!

Nah, North paddock is not the worst. That award went to the South paddock, until recently... It had full-out gravel. Leave pit road and drag all that crap onto the straight. Lots of cracked windshields. They finally paved most of that area, but there is still a good bit of gravel to be picked up. The crush stone on the North paddock can be messy, but it doesn't destroy anything.
