I am not sure what you mean by affordable, but Seibkin's is the cheapest place if you want to stay in Elkhart Lake. The Osthoff has 3 bedroom suites that are reasonable - the suites have a couch and plenty of floor space (you could easily get 5-6 in the suite if some are willing to sleep on the floor). You might also look at renting a house. I am not sure about a contact for this, but when they open the registration on 3/1 there should be a file you can download that will have contacts.

The various hotels in the area are pretty good about knowing when they can raise prices (ALMS, June Sprints, etc.), so rates are variable and you've got to do some checking.

As noted, there are hotels right in downtown Elkhart Lake - Siebkens, the Victorian Village and The Osthoff. They're expensive at times, but 3 miles from the track.

There's a Baymont Inn in Plymouth that's maybe five miles from the track - it's my usual choice. A bonus is that it's located next to a WalMart if supplies are needed.

If not, then consider the many many chain hotels in Sheboygan. The drive is an easy 20 minutes down highway 23 and there are lots of choices - all the big brands. You're also around all the chain restaurants and big-box stores so you can eat cheap and easily get supplies as needed.

Hope this is helpful. Regards to all.

BAymont is special PCA rate of under $100 /night
Osthoff I've only stayed at their nice 2 bedroom suite with kitchen and I think it was $260/ night a few years ago. A room might be cheaper.
Siebkins has a great bar and but I've never stayed there.

Siebkins is a dump (stayed there once... once). I stay in Plymouth, usually at the AmericInn. Exactly what you're looking for: nice but affordable.

Siebkins is historic (read old), but they do have a new section that is supposed to be very nice - I have not stayed in them yet. The nice thing about staying in Elkhart Lake is being able to stumble home from Siebkins...

All the hotels in the area know when race weekends are. Staying in Elkhart is great but pricey.....way to much history there. Last year while at a DE with Nordstern I stayed in Chilton which is just North by 10 miles. Best thing is all the old supper clubs....Schwartz's in St. Anna is the best. If you want real cheap try the Wisconsin Aire on HWY 57 in Random Lake for $50 / night. Its 20 miles South of the track. Great greasy spoon next door called Midway.

Not cheap, especially when you return from the track to learn your wife has ordered a new bathroom.
