HCP Cups and Saucers Advanced DE at Watkins Glen 5/11 - 5/12
The Hudson-Champlain Region will be hosting the premier Advanced Drivers Education event, “Cups and Saucers”, at Watkins Glen, Wednesday and Thursday, May 11-12. This is a fantastic, no-nonsense event for White, Black and Red run group drivers wishing to get maximum track exposure. (White run group drivers must have completed a minimum of 6 track days in the White run group prior to the event to be eligible.)
The unique “Cups and Saucers” format was designed to allow drivers to share the track with similar skill levels and equipment. We will feature expanded passing zones in the “Cups” run group. Drivers can expect to get about 3 hours of track time each day (6 scheduled 30-minute sessions for each run group). This is always an enjoyable event and we have been able to keep the price the same as last year!
Individual Coaching will be offered by Peter Argetsinger as lead coach. He brings a vast array of experience into both driving and the Watkins Glen track. We are able to offer a limited number of 1 hour coaching slots for only $250 so sign up early.
The highlight of the social events will be the “Cups and Saucers Dinner” at the Harbor Hotel Wednesday night. This was a big hit last year and the menu and setting will be the same. Peter will be the guest speaker and his insights and experiences will make for an enjoyable evening, so make this part of your plans and join us at the Harbor Hotel on Wednesday after your day at the track!
The Harbor Hotel is offering special rates of $139 plus tax for Village View rooms and $159 plus tax for Lake View rooms. These rooms and rates are limited and on a first-come basis, contact the Harbor Hotel directly for reservations and mention the Hudson Champlain Region PCA for these great rates.
Early drop-off and registration will be available from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on May 10th and a limited number of garages assignments will be available for the price of a small charitable donation; however camping will not be available. This year we will be using ClubRegistration.net for all event and options registration.
