I'm curious, how much hp are you getting out of your 2.0s? 220? And how light were you running in GT-6 trim? Haven't you raced that car in GT-5 as well?
Jack,

Thanks for the compliments. I have worked hard to develop my skills and have a great coach (Brady Refenning) helping me understand the data and where to find 10ths. The team dedicates a lot of attention to my setup and fine tune it during the weekend.

I moved to GT6S (from GT5S) as suggested by one of PCA's scrutineers when they tech'd my car at Daytona. They determined that my car was just 28#'s shy of GT6S weight but since I wanted to keep it under HSR specs, I never modified it before.

Since we were so close to 6S and being that we also have another GT5S car which is really fast (turning 21's!); I decided to have 901 Shop add ballast and also to develop a removeable aero package for PCA weekends. This gives me 2 more races inside of a 3 hour range from home!

The car weighs over 2200#'s with an almost dry gas tank.

901 Shop 2 liter engines make between 240 & 250HP and run forever. Their build quality is top notch and we never have temperature or other problems. All of their motors are superb no matter which displacement they run and the build and up keep quality is outstanding.

I highly recommend them.

disclaimer; I do not own 901 Shop, just a satisfied customer and good friend.

Hi Fred!

so that was what happened. I thought, i'm pretty fast but after the carrousel I was on my own.

Chuck it to experience. You are a great driver and you know how to really squeeze that car of yours.

What I found crazy was when they instructed car #96 (Carl) back in the track in front of me (after spinning on the carrousel). I would have thought they would have held him until the pack had gone by.

There were several incidents in the Black enduro. We must have been under yellow for 30 minutes of the race.

I missed the morning warm up so having never driven the track, I started at the back. Had a fun time. did my pit stop by stopping in an unused box behind the Bodymotion pit. Got a water from Marc Devoe and evidently sat too long in the pits since Carlos came in after I did and left in front of me.

What happened to that 944 on the front straight during the black enduro? Did the engine seized?

Oh yeah! Look at this video from last year's 48hrs to see how busy it gets. No aero or ballast then (GT5S configuration). Sorry for the scratchy downshift on the hairpin.

I'll post some from this weekend soon.

thanks guys, I'm humbled.

I'll post some with the aero package and ballast / GT6S configuration. T1, Bishops, 14, 16 and 17 changed a lot. Very cool.

Ah..I started 43rd so only saw the aftermath. The 13 doesn't sound fair but you've got to feel for the guys with torn up equipment. After the restart I don't think we got more than a couple laps before someones engine let loose and oiled down 13 and 14. Ended under double yellow.

His oil filter/cooler mount broke....spewed a fair amount of oil mostly down his right side tires.

Tough weekend on our lowly 944's, lost a motor on the Martini car during practice starts Friday and lost my LSD at the end of Sprint 1...I had more bolts come loose than in an entire season.
