Race Car
Tom,
Historically, green has been considered "bad luck" for race cars...and even race bikes. This superstition appears to have started in the late 1910's or early 1920's.
I had a green race bike, a Kawasaki, and had no issues. Then again, I am not superstitious.

Scott - Back in the dark ages people believed a lot of things we now think are silly. Bad luck and green race cars sems to be one of them. I have data that I made up last night to show that a green race car is at least 2 seconds faster than any other color - and 3 seconds faster than some boring white car. Don't even get me started on those dead slow silver cars that John seems to like.
And, yes John, after about 5 months recovery from the surgery I'm ready to get back to racing and will be at Sears Point in March to start the new season.

Dan, how much does the roll cage weigh? I have a DAS roll bar in my 993, and it is HEAVY! (60lbs) Do you use light weight air craft type alloy or just mild carbon steel? Have anyone tried to build a titanium cage?

Alright Dan, you win... very nice! Here I thought I'd have the prettiest interior photos to show off... geesh, talk about taking the wind out of someone's sails

As a comparator, my cage in a 964. Mine is MIG welded 0.095 tubing (weight of the car is ~2150 lbs). Mine also replaced a Safety Devices "bolt-in". I likely have the weight of mine somewhere, but not available right now.
