Help needed. How do you unregister a transponder? NOW COMPLETED :)
#16
When I bought my 996 (October 2009) I moved the transponder over to my name without issue. I emailed customer service on mylaps, paid $50 or something, and it was done. They may be a little slow to respond, but it got done quickly once initial contact was made.
No drama here, just send the email.

If you know where to look it seems easy .
Lemming (Tim) just posted this link on a similar thread.
I'm going to try it now and let you know what happens.
Thx Tim

I will call Monday to make sure they have all the information they need to do the transfer.

Success, the new transponder # was transfered to my account yesterday.
The cost is $40 and you will have to pay that when you do the transfer request.
Make sure you put all the info in the details box on the transfer order before clicking on continue .
You will find all that info on this page of the thread.
Thanks to Tim and Lynn for the transfer link and Kelly's info.

Reviving this old thread with the same question. I just bought a new race car and would like to add the AMB TranX 260 DP Transponder to my MyLaps account. The link above no longer works. Has anybody done this recently?
