Why is "I Class" in the orange group? And by the count the orange group is the largest with over 90 cars...

Seems like a mistake. You should ask national why they did that.

Since I am in G, the slowest class in the middle run group, I am glad I am not going. Think if I repeat that enough, I can convince myself?

Everyone's given good advice, especially the make sure every nut and bolt are torqued before you hit the track because at the end of the weekend they won't be! The only thing I'd add is be prepared to make the change to wets. This time of year in Florida it's a pretty good bet you'll see rain sometime over the weekend. Just depends on how the fronts are timing wise. If it does rain, Sebring is old enough and worn enough it can really hold water in the groove and apexes. You'll probably need to shift your line over a car width if it is wet during a session. The Sebring surface also has several transitions from asphalt to concrete and back again. When those get wet, especially the concrete areas, they get slick. The other area to watch for is the start/finish line in the wet. Its a broad checkerboard painted area on the pit straight and it's right in the acceleration zone coming off 17. Just watch your throttle and anticipate some wheelspin across that thing. More than one driver has come to grief losing it on that thing in the wet. Then you're a ping-pong ball bouncincing off the inside and outside walls. It's a great circuit that once you learn it is really quick and a lot of fun..

I asked him about the rumor I'd heard that some of the LMP1 cars can go full throttle through 1. He said that it is possible on new tires, but after a few laps you have to brake a little.
In the race the LMPs brake a lot more for that corner than they need to, usually because there's traffic to contend with.

FYI: For an experienced driver, Sebring will TORTURE brakes...more brake issues at that track than any other, by a long shot.

Just a helpful hint, if it applies.

Mike told me to say two things -

1. If you want to know what's going on you should have come down!! (actually that's a quote directed at me from NJMP two years ago)..

2. No oil, no info!!!
