Default Cayman wing - finally?

Porsche announces Cayman R... has a wing from the factory. Can any Cayman run that same wing without being considered "prepared" by PCA CR? Would be cool. Sorry if topic already addressed or if another wing is already available in "stock" form.

Fred, I believe you can use any wing that comes from the factory as an option. I know a few Caymans are running the Tequipment wing on a stock class car.

Have you decided to switch to H class yet?

I won't. Just spend my coin on an engine rebuild, suspension upgrades, and a proper paint job.... So E-stock instead of E-prepared it will be for next year.

Re: Cayman wing... why aren't more people running a wing then???

what class do you run in PCA CR? I have seen many of the Cayman S running H stock with no wing (apart from the speed actuated flap)...

To be honest that wing doesn't look any different than the one of my 2006 Cayman S....... but nonetheless a wing.....

Fred, I know Carlos runs one, not sure about the others in stock class. For me, I have been holding off on the wing while I decide which class and where I will run the car. I have been waiting to see whether adjustable shocks would have been considered "prepared" which would then allow for the larger wing if I moved up in class. If you are not running stock class, you can afix a wing that resembles Ernie's or the Interseries cars which would be much better than the Tequipment stock option.

Just abit of Wax, the rear wing is from a GT3. I run in GTB-1 in PCA, the wing is set lower to conform the World Challenge rules, PCA , you could run it higher. 2750 lbs with driver in GTB-1, 6 piston STOP-TECH brakes, Guard LSD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F44BD..._order&list=UL
