You guys have more self control than I do. If I had a 964 Cup, I would have it on the track as much as possible. If I ever hit the lottery...

It is for sale, but I haven't advertised it here on RL.
Have you advertised it somewhere else?

I almost imported one from Germany in 2001 for less than $40k but a divorce shelved that plan, that was when the dollar still had some value against the euro. It seems a shame that they are becoming just more expensive Garage Art, after such active racing carreers, I do understand the irriplacability factor though. As Carrera51 said "I don't have that much self control". I guess I'll stick with my Old War Horse, she's faster than a 964 Cup anyway, according to her engine builder and I'm almost caught up to her abilities

93' RS America 25th built (Show Room to Race Track in 93', 69k mostly track miles, a few dents along the way but running stronger than ever!)

Not on a website, just word of mouth.

All I can say is wow! I love these 964 Cups and hope they don't just disappear as collectibles. One day....

Here is one that sold:

A beautiful Maritime Blue car for sale at Racetech Engineering (asking $95k):

I have a 1990 964 Cup car, first series. A former factory car, good history and original. It´s more or less retired now. Not for sale....

I have a '93 NGT (or RS clubsport), which although not a cup, was very similar in build. Built to N-GT spec (obviously) as opposed to Porsche's own regs for the CC.

Mine was raced in the 24hr 'ring in '94 and subsquently in the Ferrari - Porsche challenge, winning class championship once.

Prices seem to be similar to cup cars, and you see a few for sale too.

I think the cars will be raced again but are going through that barren patch, of not fast enough to race aggressively, but not old enough to be eligible for the fun historic stuff, their time will come.

I'd still be racing mine if all the other Sallies hadn't pulled out of GTC1...

Seriously, relax on the taunting re: racing. Most of the cars posted in this thread have warred on multiple continents. Even Secretariat retired... I raced my 964 Cup in 48 races.

Here's a video I did a year or so ago for our local PCA chapter to promote racing at a meeting. Lots of 964 Cup **** in here (and note that no 964 Cups were damaged in the making of this film).

Yeah seriously. Here's some more videos of the type of racing that was the norm in the C1 class for many years.

Awesome video Charlie. Great highlights and nicely put together with the music.

Loved the scrap with Colin and Andy at NJMP Lightning. Great stuff.

I know of two 993 cups that went straight from racing into private "museum" collections. Kinda sucks only seeing them maybe at some historic parade race.

Here's my old no.11 raced by Oscar Larruari to 5th overall in '91 and continual race history until '98-track days and Porsche Club GB Speed Championship only now, I'm afraid.....

If only I could find the Wagenpass......
