Here's mine, the '92 cup nearest the camera, then Mel's followed by an NGT, an RSL, h_____'s NGT, another RSL and an interloper GT3!

From what I've seen the 964 Cup prices peaked in 2006 and have been much lower (by 20-30%) since. At least here in the US. I've seen them advertised in the $60K and under range this year. Two factors contributed IMO - 1) GTC-1 has been a lot less competitive as of late (most cups are on the East Coast) and 2) you can have just as much fun for less than 1/2 the money in a Boxster these days in a very competitive class. Or for similar money as a 964 Cup you can get a 997 Cup, and that is a lot more car.

I'm sure their prices will appreciate eventually, but I don't see it happening in the near future. That's why they are sitting in their owners' garages and you don't see them at the track. People are waiting for the prices to creep back up.

I freaking love the Diadora car! I have a bunch of Vitesse models in my office and that is my absolute favorite.

You've seen one, non-original car advertised at that price, and there's maybe 1-2 of these for sale at any one time. That's hardly enough data points to know what the market for the cars really is. They still sell in europe for 60k euros (~$80k US), so any US owner could sell for $70k in our pocket if we really wanted to. It's the next 73 RS in another 20 years, only far more rare.

Let me know where. I'd be a buyer at those prices.

Completely agree. I firmly believe that 964 cup values will come back with a serious vengeance. There's an undeniable coolness and cachet to them that transcends the other cups. Maybe it's because I chased them for so long in my POS, rattle-trap G-class 993.

Was always fun to run against the odd one or two who would show up out here 8-9 years ago when I'd try my best to keep up with the lowly RSA. Who ended up with Tom McGlynn's (Joengblood Wheel guy), and then there was another Rubystone (?) that came out with him one time from the midwest. If I'd only had Hoosiers I think I could have used my local Laguna knowledge to at least keep up.

The rubystone one may be the same car that 38D has currently?

Looked it up. Ex-Jerry Greene, #92. 2003 Laguna Sports Car Invitational. Finished 2nd in D, 32 seconds behind probably running Kumho V700s. (Edit: I was 2nd, 32 seconds behind him.)

Might have photos somewhere. Long before the days of digital.

And we throughly enjoyed crushing said G car . I think its just simple supply & demand: there ain't much supply and there's definitely demand. Having the wagenpass and the history is just neat. My car was driven multiple drivers including Harold Grohs and raced at tracks like Nurbergring, Imola, Hochenheim, Magny Cours, Spa and Monaco. The car appears in the '93 Supercup video racing around the hairpin at Monaco...that's just freaking cool! Oh, and my car is on the '93 Supercup poster too .

Yes, my car is the ex-Jerry Greene car. I plan to completely restore it over the next few years. She's still a looker.

Your Euro cup is a different story than the H class US cups. I somehow managed to beat a couple of 964 cups in the old D class a few years ago, something that I was surprised to do.
